One Kirkland beach closes due to bacteria as another one reopens
Juanita Beach Park in Kirkland has closed to swimmers for at least one week following an alert from Seattle & King County Public Health regarding elevated bacteria levels. While this location remains off-limits, another local beach has been cleared to reopen after recent water quality tests showed safe conditions. Health officials will continue to monitor the water at Juanita Beach before determining when it is safe for the public to return.
