Hurricane Polo has made landfall in Baja California, Mexico, bringing flash flooding and life-threatening winds to the region.
The Category 2 hurricane struck land just south of Las Barrancas, Mexico with maximum sustained winds of 110 mph. About 700 people remained in shelters Tuesday.
