Tulsa City Council Unanimously Backs New Eviction Prevention Program That Could Be a State Model
The Tulsa City Council unanimously passed a resolution September 16 to develop a right-to-counsel eviction program providing legal representation to low-income tenants and landlords alike. Twenty-one cities, two counties and five states have implemented similar programs, all lowering eviction rates. Advocates say Tulsa could be a model for Oklahoma.
