Man shot 6 times in Avalon Park
A 46-year-old man was critically injured after being shot six times Tuesday afternoon in Chicago's Avalon Park neighborhood. The victim was walking to his vehicle on South Euclid Avenue when an unidentified assailant opened fire and fled the scene. No suspects are currently in custody as the victim remains in critical condition at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
<p>A man was critically injured in a shooting in Avalon Park Tuesday afternoon, according to the Chicago Police Department.</p><p>The victim, 46, was walking to his vehicle in the 8400 block of South Euclid Avenue at 3:45 p.m. when another man opened fire, then fled, police said. </p><p>The man, shot six times, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.</p><p>No one is in custody, police said. </p>

<p>A teenage boy was shot in Albany Park Tuesday night, according to Chicago police.</p><p>A 16-year-old was in the 4700 block of North Albany Avenue at 8:58 p.m. when he was shot in the left foot and abdomen, police said. </p><p>He transported himself to Swedish Hospital before being taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.</p><p>No one is in custody, police said. An investigation is underway. </p>
