On June 24, Gov. Josh Green signed Act 141 to prohibit state and county law enforcement agencies and officials from entering into agreements with federal authorities for civil immigration enforcement. We are now a “sanctuary state” because our state cannot aid in the deportation of immigrants without legal status, with few exceptions.
