Eddie’s Furniture in Holyoke is closing after 91 years in operation. The landmark building was originally built in 1870 for horse sales before transitioning to a furniture store in the 1930s. Owner Job Hicks confirmed the end of the long-standing family business.
Owner Job Hicks says his great grandfather built the landmark building in 1870 to sell horses. His dad swept out a few stalls in the 1930s and started selling furniture.
