A political candidate is proposing an overhaul of the process for New Yorkers to claim $21 billion in unclaimed funds held by the state.
Hernandez, in a three-page policy memo shared exclusively with The Post, says he’ll overhaul DiNapoli’s process of requiring New Yorkers to search for and retrieve various payments or other cash still unduly held in state coffers.
