Pro sports leagues urge Pa., N.J. and other states to crack down on bettors who harass players
The five major U.S. professional sports leagues are calling on regulators in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and over 30 other states to enact legislation targeting bettors who harass or threaten athletes. The NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and MLS — the five largest professional sports leagues in the country — are calling on state gambling regulators in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and more than 30 other states to pass laws that address the rise of sports bettors harassing and threatening athletes.
