Scientists are researching deeper-rooted soybeans to better withstand extreme climate conditions and capture more atmospheric carbon. This study joins other efforts to mitigate carbon levels, such as direct air capture and reforestation.
For years, scientists have explored ways to remove carbon from the atmosphere, including through direct air capture, changes to ocean chemistry so seawater can absorb more carbon and reforestation.
