A resident of St. Louis Heights reports that neighbors feeding peanuts to green parakeets has caused the birds to flock to the area and consume the resident's mangoes.
I live in lower St. Louis Heights. Until this year I have been able to enjoy the mangoes from my tree. This year, however, someone in the neighborhood has been feeding peanuts to those green parakeets. They come in flocks in the morning and evening. I find peanut shells in my yard and see them in my neighbor’s yard under the trees the birds land on. The birds love my mangoes.
