Judge approves Paramount’s settlement with states over Warner buyout, allowing merger to soon close

A federal judge approved a settlement between Paramount and 12 states, clearing the way for the company's merger with Warner Bros. Discovery.
The companies now expect to complete the deal on Oct. 6. The merger will bring together two of Hollywood’s last five legacy studios.
