Why Vanderbilt and the Whitney Museum Are Partners
Vanderbilt University has formed a partnership with the Whitney Museum of American Art following the opening of the university's new satellite campus in Manhattan. The collaboration is designed to leverage New York City’s cultural resources for the university's large population of students from the region. This initiative marks a significant step in Vanderbilt's strategy to expand its educational and institutional presence beyond its Nashville base.
The Nashville-based university, which has just established a Manhattan outpost, has lots of New York area students and wants to take advantage of the city’s cultural capital.
