Christa Pike still alive after 2 rounds of lethal injection drugs, witnesses say

An attempt to execute Christa Pike via lethal injection failed on Wednesday night. The procedure followed a day of legal challenges regarding a stay of execution.
Witnesses said a second dose of pentobarbital were used after the first dose did not kill Pike. The second dose did not kill her either. She was still alive when witnesses left the room.
