A Northeast Portland motel will be converted into a shelter for Multnomah County families. This development follows a failed attempt to open a similar facility in Gresham. The previous project fell through due to financial issues involving the hotel's ownership.
Plans to open a family shelter in Gresham failed "due to a financial situation specific to hotel ownership,” the homeless services leader said.
