Connecticut man sentenced to over seven-and-a-half years for trying to support ISIS

A Connecticut man was sentenced to over seven-and-a-half years in prison for attempting to provide support to ISIS. Following his release, he will be subject to lifetime supervised monitoring.
After his term, Elshazly, who has been in jail since he was arrested on Dec. 15, 2019, will be under supervised release for the rest of his life, the department said.
