Cubs third baseman Alex Bregman leaves game after being hit in face by foul ball
CINCINNATI — The Cubs sent third baseman Alex Bregman to a hospital for tests Sunday after he was hit in the face by a foul ball off the bat of Michael Busch while standing near the on-deck circle.The left-handed-hitting Busch checked his swing on a pitch from Reds right-hander Luis Mey in the fourth inning, and the ball bounced before striking Bregman.
