BYU player and Weber High alumnus Cannon DeVries has emerged as a breakout star during the team’s 2-0 start to the season. Nicknamed 'Little Weddle,' DeVries previously served a church mission in Texas. He also gained attention as an internet meme before his recent athletic success.
Two years ago, Cannon DeVries was known as the recently returned missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas Houston South Mission. Two months ago, he was a meme on the college football internet.
