Even more subsidies for Niagara Falls restaurateur, despite wage theft probe
The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency is considering additional subsidies for restaurateur Muhammad Shoaib despite an ongoing state investigation into his businesses. The New York Department of Labor has spent 20 months probing allegations that Shoaib stole wages and tips from his employees. A final determination in the case has yet to be reached as the local agency meets to discuss the new funding.
