Pope Leo XIV appoints new bishop of the Diocese of Joliet
Pope Leo XIV appointed Bishop Brendan J. Cahill as the seventh bishop of the Diocese of Joliet. Cahill, previously the bishop of Victoria, Texas, will be installed in November. The diocese serves approximately 500,000 Catholics across seven Illinois counties, including Will and DuPage.
