Nevada retailers group, citing high costs and tariffs, abandons Lombardo and backs Ford
The Retail Association of Nevada has shifted its political support from Governor Joe Lombardo to Aaron Ford, citing concerns over rising costs and trade policies. Association leadership stated the decision followed remarks from the governor suggesting that his office cannot address affordability and that residents must endure the economic impact of tariffs.
“Gov. Lombardo has told us that Nevadans need to feel pain from tariffs,” said Bryan Wachter, president of the Retail Association of Nevada. “He said there’s nothing the governor can do about affordability.”
