NYFW honcho taking leave of absence after tackling PETA protesters who crashed runway show
Steven Kolb, CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, is taking a leave of absence following a physical altercation with PETA protesters at a New York Fashion Week show. The executive was filmed tackling activists who disrupted a runway event to protest the fashion industry's use of animal products. Kolb issued a statement expressing regret for the incident, describing his behavior as out of character for both himself and his leadership role.
“What happened was completely out of character for me, both personally and as a leader,” Council of Fashion Designers of America CEO Steven Kolb said after the viral confrontation.
