Texas DPS failed to send voter registration applications to county election officials
The Texas Department of Public Safety failed to forward an unknown number of voter registration applications to county officials. A backlog of applications will now be sent less than two weeks before the October 5 registration deadline for the upcoming November 3 election.
It’s not known how many applications have been unprocessed. Counties will receive a backlogged surge less than two weeks before the Oct. 5 deadline to register for the Nov. 3 election.
