Family recalls boy’s survival ahead of beatification for Archbishop Fulton Sheen
The Dome at America's Center in downtown St. Louis is being transformed into a cathedral, this week, to host the beatification mass for Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. Beatification is one of the final steps toward sainthood in the Roman Catholic church.

A teenager was rescued Sunday afternoon after suffering a serious arm cut nearly 200 feet up a steep hillside at Creve Coeur Lake. Emergency responders executed a complex technical rope rescue that took roughly 90 minutes once crews reached the victim.
