Monte Paschi CEO Says Shareholders Will See Value in Twin Offers
Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena Chief Executive Officer Luigi Lovaglio tells Bloomberg Television he is confident shareholders will recognize the value of his twin takeover offers for Banco BPM and Banca Generali. "We are building an Italian champion," Lovaglio says. The CEO needs support from at least two thirds of the votes cast at a shareholder meeting on Oct. 29 to proceed with his plan.
