1,200 Riot Fest Attendees Snag Official Parking On Its Debut Year
The new lot is about a 10-minute walk from the festival site in Douglass Park and costs $50 a day. A neighbor said the lot has made the fest less disruptive.

A 14-year-old girl was found shot early Saturday in Austin on the West Side. Officers were responding to a call and found the girl with multiple gunshot wounds in the 300 block of South Laramie Avenue around 2:20 a.m., Chicago police said. She was shot in the face and chest and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, police said. No arrests were made.
