Oʻahu public schools have begun serving locally grown pineapple, with over 2,100 pounds distributed to 21 schools. More schools are expected to participate in the program over the coming month.
More than 2,100 pounds of Hawaiʻi-grown pineapple have been distributed to participating Oʻahu schools as part of the initial rollout. Twenty-one schools are currently offering the locally grown fruit, with additional schools expected to join over the next month.
