FOLLOWUP: What SDOT says about those Cybercab sightings
Recent sightings of Tesla Cybercabs in West Seattle have prompted the Seattle Department of Transportation to clarify that the vehicles are not currently operating autonomously. Although driverless taxi services are not yet permitted in the city, these specific test models are equipped with steering wheels and are being manually controlled by human drivers. This manual configuration allows the company to conduct local testing while remaining in compliance with existing municipal regulations.
