A 14-year-old girl was found shot early Saturday in Austin on the West Side. Officers were responding to a call and found the girl with multiple gunshot wounds in the 300 block of South Laramie Avenue around 2:20 a.m., Chicago police said. She was shot in the face and chest and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, police said. No arrests were made.

A man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street early Saturday morning in the Gold Coast neighborhood. The man, 23, was walking on the sidewalk when he crossed onto the southbound lanes in the 1500 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive around 1:10 a.m., Chicago police said.
