Vanessa Cooksey, the arts chief in St. Louis, stated that eliminating her role is a necessary sacrifice to ensure the long-term financial stability of the Regional Arts Commission.
"If that means that this role needs to be eliminated to ensure that RAC can exist another 40, 50, 60, years, for me, that's a reasonable sacrifice," said Vanessa Cooksey.
