House gives green light to bill requiring AM radios in new cars
The U.S. House of Representatives has passed legislation requiring all new vehicles to be equipped with AM radio technology. This bipartisan move follows previous unsuccessful attempts to mandate the feature, which many lawmakers view as essential for public safety and emergency broadcasts. The bill now heads to the Senate for further consideration.
Similar bipartisan legislation considered by Congress before had stalled out.
