US invites Putin to G20 summit in Miami for first time since Russia-Ukraine war began
The Trump administration has invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Miami this December. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the invitation, marking the first such request since the 2022 invasion of Ukraine. If he attends, it would be Putin's first in-person appearance at the summit since the war began.
