Manifund, an effective altruism organization, reportedly gave former FTX engineering chief Caroline Ellison a trial position last year. The group has refused to return funds received from the collapsed cryptocurrency exchange. Ellison is the former partner of convicted FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried.
