2 women wounded after being shot in Chatham alley
A 56-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman were shot in an alley in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood on Thursday. The older victim was struck in the leg when a man fired shots while chasing the younger woman near South Maryland Avenue. Police are investigating the incident.

Chicago police shot and killed a dog that attacked them while the officers were working on an investigation in the Humboldt Park neighborhood Monday, police said.Shortly before 5 p.m., the officers were in the 700 block of North Christiana Avenue when a dog approached and attacked an officer.
