35 teams off to surprise starts to begin 2026 N.J. football season

Thirty-five New Jersey high school football teams have achieved unexpectedly strong starts through the first two weeks of the 2026 season. The report identifies programs across the state that are currently exceeding preseason expectations with high-performing records early in their campaigns.
