Phillies panic meter: Split with Nationals raises reasons for worry
The Philadelphia Phillies split their recent series against the Washington Nationals. The team is currently competing in the National League Wild Card race to secure a postseason spot. They are also attempting to overtake the Chicago Cubs for home-field advantage in the opening playoff series.
Philly is fighting tooth and nail in a crowded NL Wild Card hunt and every win inches them closer to clinching — and perhaps to leapfrogging the Cubs for a home series to start their postseason run.
