Starved, abused, found dead in freezer: Nobody intervened as L.A. County boy suffered
An 8-year-old boy was beaten, left chained up and starved over the course of a year, losing more than 100 pounds before he was found dead last October, according to testimony in his parents' murder case. Questions remain about why school officials and social workers failed to check on the boy.
