Consumers Energy plans to build a $1.1 billion natural gas plant in Hampton Township. The project is expected to create hundreds of jobs and generate significant tax revenue for the county.
The $1.1 billion facility would create more than 330 construction jobs and 15 permanent positions while generating $109 million in property tax revenue over five years for Bay County schools, roads and services.
