A resident expressed interest in the legislature's $300,000 trip to study transit-oriented development in other countries, despite the rail system not being easily accessible to them.
Although the rail is not easily accessible to me here in Kalihi Valley and, like thousands of my neighbors, I may never use it, I’m still interested in how Skyline will help all of us. I recently learned of the Legislature’s planned $300,000 visit to explore examples of transit-oriented development in cities in other nations (“State leaders seek ideas on transit development,” Star-Advertiser, Sept. 14).
