Water conservation requested in Upcountry Maui during Kamole Water Treatment Plant upgrade

Upcountry Maui residents are asked to conserve water during a six- to eight-week upgrade at the Kamole Water Treatment Plant. The project includes replacing membranes and installing a new control system. Service is expected to return to normal in early November.
The County of Maui Department of Water Supply is asking customers in Upcountry Maui to conserve water while the Kamole Water Treatment Plant undergoes a membrane retrofit upgrade. The six- to eight-week project includes installation of replacement membranes, a new control system and other associated improvements. The conservation request is in effect now until the upgraded system returns to service, which is anticipated in early November.
